Take Your Riding to the Next Level!
Ever wondered what it feels like to ride your motorcycle on a real racetrack? Florida Trackdays makes that experience accessible to everyday street riders with our Novice Motorcycle Track Day and New Track Rider School at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
Whether you’re looking to become a more confident rider, improve your cornering skills, or simply experience the thrill of riding on a professional road course, our Novice Group is the perfect place to start.
You don’t need racing experience, an expensive race bike, or a background in competitive riding. All you need is a properly prepared motorcycle, qualifying protective riding gear, and the ability to operate your motorcycle confidently at normal road speeds.
Our experienced instructors will guide you through the fundamentals of performance riding while introducing you to the excitement and challenges of the racetrack.
What Makes Our Novice Track Day Different?
FREE New Track Rider School Included
Every rider who registers for the Florida Trackdays Novice Group is automatically enrolled in our New Track Rider School at no additional charge.
Our program combines classroom instruction with practical on-track riding sessions, allowing you to learn new techniques and put them into practice throughout the day.
You’ll develop a better understanding of:
- Cornering Techniques: Learn proper racing lines, turn-in points, and how to navigate corners smoothly.
- Braking Skills: Understand braking markers, braking control, and how to prepare for corners.
- Throttle Control: Discover how smooth throttle application improves motorcycle stability and corner exits.
- Body Positioning: Learn how rider positioning influences motorcycle handling and cornering.
- Vision and Reference Points: Improve your ability to identify and use important visual markers around the racetrack.
- Track Riding Fundamentals: Understand track etiquette, passing rules, instructor signals, and safe riding practices.
Our goal is to help you build confidence and develop techniques that can benefit both your track riding and everyday street riding.
Your First Motorcycle Track Day – What to Expect
Start with Classroom Instruction
Your experience begins with a mandatory riders’ meeting, followed by the Novice Rider School classroom program.
Our instructors introduce the track layout, riding procedures, safety rules, and techniques you’ll use during your riding sessions.
Instructor-Led Track Sessions
Your first session is a controlled lead-follow session behind our experienced instructors.
You’ll follow instructors around the road course, learning proper riding lines, braking zones, corner entry points, and track positioning.
This controlled introduction helps riders become familiar with the circuit before progressing to more independent riding.
Progress at Your Own Pace
As the day continues, instruction transitions into additional track sessions that allow you to practice the techniques introduced in the classroom.
Instructors monitor riders, communicate using hand signals, and provide guidance throughout the event.
Later sessions allow passing in permitted areas, subject to Novice Group rules and instructor direction.
Practice, Learn, and Enjoy the Track
Our combination of track time and instruction gives you repeated opportunities to apply what you’ve learned, gain experience, and develop greater confidence.
Whether your goal is to become a better street rider or eventually progress into our Intermediate and Advanced groups, Florida Trackdays provides a structured environment to begin your track riding journey.

What Motorcycle and Riding Gear Do I Need?
You do not need a dedicated racing motorcycle to participate in our Novice Group. A properly maintained street motorcycle suitable for track riding can be used, subject to event technical inspection and requirements.
Required protective equipment includes:
- One-piece leather motorcycle suit, or a two-piece leather suit with a full-circumference connecting zipper
- Sturdy over-the-ankle motorcycle boots
- Full-leather motorcycle riding gloves
- Qualifying full-face motorcycle helmet that meets Florida Trackdays safety requirements
Florida Trackdays offers suit, boot, and glove rentals, but riders must provide their own approved helmet.
Need a Motorcycle Too?
Florida Trackdays also offers motorcycle rentals for riders who would prefer not to bring their own motorcycle.
Our rental motorcycles provide a convenient way to experience a track day without transporting or preparing your personal bike.
