RIDING GROUPS AND INSTRUCTORS
Novice:
Every
Novice group will have both lead and following instructors. It is the
instructors responsiblity to set the pace and show the proper riding lines for
track. Instructors will progressively build up speed depending upon each novice's progression. Instructors will be using hand signals (see below) throughout the day to relay information while out on the track.
During
the initial laps of the early sessions there will be no passing of instructors
unless instructed to so by instrcutors using hand signals. This will be a time
where novices will be learning proper track lines. In later sessions passing is
allowed anywhere except in the corners.
Intermediate:
This group is for riders who have attended track day events
previously or have extensive street experience. Intermediate has less supervision
and structure than novice. Passing is allowed on all parts of the track EXCEPT
on the inside of a turn. Riders should allow 6 feet buffer other riders when
making a pass. The following rider making the pass is expected to make the pass
as safely as possible. The structure of this group may change to more closely
resemble either the Advanced or Beginner group, depending on the group’s riding
ability.
Advanced:
This
group is for those riders with extensive street or track experience including
racing experience. Passing is allowed on all parts of the track.
UNSAFE
RIDING
Instructors
will be monitoring all riders, regardless of group. If riders continually ride
in an unsafe manner, instructors may ask you to leave the track. If repeated
warnings are ignored FloridaTrackdays.com reserves the right to ask you to
leave the venue. Poor off track behavior may also result in a premature ending
of your track day. Our goal is to provide a fun and exhilarating track day and
we do this by stressing safety above anything else.

CORNERWORKERS,
TRACK MARSHAL, AND FLAGS
There will
be cornerworkers positioned at strategic points around the track to monitor for
potential hazards, should any situation occur. They will be armed with flags
and radios to alert you of any hazards. Cornerworkers are essential. The track
marshal oversees all activity on the track and is responsible for maintaining a
safe environment. What he says, goes. The flags they will use are as follows:
Green
Flag: Displayed when Track is clear and open.
Checkered
Flag: Displayed when the session is over. Do not stop on the track when the checkered flag is shown. Continue on your lap until you come to the pit in location.
Yellow
Flag: Displayed when there is a possible hazard on or off the track. Do not stop but continue on with caution. Do not pass during yellow flags.
Red Flag:
Displayed when the session is over due to a hazard. Proceed immediately to pit in and await further instruction.
Black
Flag: The flag will be displayed by a cornerworker or at the start/finish. If you see the flag pointed at you there is a problem with your bike, safely slow down and leave the track. Proceed to the nearest corner worker so he may inspect your motorcycle.
